We understand that your privacy is important to you and we are committed to protecting your personal information when you use our services. Who we are

BAM Store + Space is run by Bristol Arts Monster CIC, a not-for-profit organisation that supports local artists and creative businesses and promotes creativity in the community. Our shop sells gifts, cards, art, music, books and other treats whilst our programme of events includes courses, workshops, family sessions and talks designed to inspire.

Throughout this policy, on our website and on our social media channels when saying “we”, “our”, “Bristol Arts Monster” or “BAM Store + Space”, we’re referring to Bristol Arts Monster CIC

Information collected by us

Personal data is any information relating to an individual from which that person can be identified. It does not include any data where the identity has been removed i.e. anonymous data.

We collect personal information from you so that we can offer our services as effectively as possible. We may collect your personal information if you place an order with us on our website, or if you sign up to, reserve a space on, buy a ticket to or participate in any of our events or workshops.

We are likely to collect:

  • Contact details (email, phone number, address)

We may occasionally ask for date of birth (if there is an age restriction on an event) or medical note (in the case of a last minute cancellation) but these will be exceptional circumstances.

If there is anything that might impact on your experience with us we ask that you let us know so we can ensure you get the most out of our services.

How long do we store your information for?

We will hold and process your personal information only for the same reasons we originally collected if for. We will keep this personal information for 7 years as required by government bodies. If you are subscribed to our mailing list we will continue to send you relevant communications for as long as you are a subscriber.

Sharing your information

Bristol Arts Monster CIC will never share your details with third parties unless otherwise stated, for example with organisers or tutors leading events you have signed up for. We use third parties to provide some services (eg mailing list, feedback) and we requite them to comply strictly with the terms under which we collected your information. They will not use your personal information unless you have given them permission to do so.
